Whipped Potatoes

Intro:

These whipped potatoes are literally the perfect side dish for steak night or roasted chicken or just straight out of the pot. Definitely one of my holiday go to sides because who doesn't love whipped potatoes?

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb. Russet Potatoes
  • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream 
  • 3 tsp. Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Fresh Chives

Cooking Instructions:

1.) Peel potatoes and and cut into even chunks. 
2.) Fill a pot with cold water enough to fully submerge potatoes an add 2 tsp. salt.
3.) Bring water to a boil until the potatoes are fork tender (15-20 minutes).
4.) Drain water and in the same pot mash/rice the potatoes.
5.) Add in heavy cream, butter, salt, garlic, black pepper (adjust to taste) and whip.
6.)Top with fresh chives.
