Intro:

Honestly, we had a winter storm in Texas and all I could get my hands on was some shrimp from the local grocery store. I whipped this up one night and I'm not mad about it. It was amazingly delicious and we will definitely be making it more often around here.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. Large Gulf Shrimp (Peeled and Deveined)
  • 2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
  • 5 Cloves Minced Garlic
  • 2/3 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Broth (Chicken or Veggie or Fish)
  • 1/3 Cup Grated Parmesan (Good Quality = Better Taste)
  • Half a Lemon
  • 2 Tbsp. Chopped Parsley
  • 1 Tsp. Cajun Seasoning (More or Less Based on your Taste)
  • 1 Tsp. Paprika
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper

1.) Heat skillet on medium high heat and melt butter in pan.
2.) Add in shrimp and lightly sprinkle with a smidge of cajun seasoning and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes, flip and season again. Cook for 2 more minutes until shrimp is pink and crusty.
3.) Remove shrimp and set aside.
4.) Turn heat down to low heat and in the same pan add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
5.) Next add in heavy cream, cajun seasoning and paprika. Mix for about 30 seconds and add in broth and cook for another 30 seconds.
6.) Add in parmesan cheese, lime juice and mix thoroughly until the sauce is fully incorporated.
7.) Add shrimp back into pan, cook for 2 more minutes and top with chopped parsley and fresh ground black pepper.
